Notice of Annual General Meeting
Dear Volunteer
2009 was another busy year for our many Volunteers, IWA-Sport and the National Sports Executive Committee wish to thank you for your hard work and the commitment shown during 2009. We look forward to your continued support during 2010 and hope to support you as best we can.
I would like to invite you to the IWA-Sport Annual General Meeting which will take place in the IWA Sports Centre on Saturday 27th February 2010 at 2pm.
Following the AGM we will be announcing the winners of the “Athlete and Volunteer of the Year Awards”. As both the Athlete and Volunteer Awards are selected by you please vote for the people in your sport whom you think should receive the award for 2009. You can cast a vote by email, snail mail, or by phone on 01 8186454 or 451.
In addition to the usual busy schedule of sporting events in the coming year we also hope to focus on providing volunteers with sport specific training opportunities and the roll out of a volunteer id card.
Your contribution has played a vital role both nationally and internationally which made it possible for us to continue with a full calendar of events. Our athletes and my colleagues greatly appreciate your assistance and this vital support has ensured that many of our athletes will go forward to represent Ireland at National, International, World Games and World Championships in 2010.
