Table Tennis

Our London bound athletes, Rena McCarron Rooney, Philip Quinlan, Eimear Breathnach and Ronan Rooney continued their competitive preparation for London 2012 by competing at the Slovenian and Nantes Opens respectively. The highlight of both events was Philip Quinlan winning Gold in the Class 1 Singles at the Nantes Open and Ronan Rooney winning Silver in the Class 2 Singles. They then both paired up and won the Bronze medal in the team event.

We also sent a development team to the Nantes Open including Garreth Greene, Christine Doyle and Colin Judge. The standard of competition was very high but great experience was gained by all three athletes.
