Paralympic Achievements
IWA - Athletes Achieve Success
Congratulations to the following IWA – Sport athletes on some recent notable achievements;
- Roy Guerin, from Co Kerry, has recently qualified for the London Paralympic Games in the Sport of Powerlifting. To the best of our knowledge this is the first time this sport has been competed in since our founder Oliver Murphy competed in this event in the early 60’s.
- Ronan Rooney, from Co Meath, Ronan recently qualified for the London Paralympic Games in the Sport of table tennis.
- John Toomey, from Cork, recently qualified for the London Paralympic Games in Sailing.
