Killester Wheelchair Basketball team win the 2011 / 2012 Irish League sponsored by Irish Stairlifts and Bathrooms.

Saturday, 12th May 2012 saw the final round of fixtures for the Irish Wheelchair Basketball League sponsored by Irish Stairlifts and Bathrooms.

Galway Titans WBC beat Limerick WBC 34 – 17 to finish in 3rd position in the table.  Limerick finished in 6th position.

Fr. Matthews WBC beat Dundalk Ravens 38 – 24 to finish runners up.  Dundalk Ravens finished in 4th position.

Killester WBC beat Clonaslee WBC 65 – 30 to finish champions of the League Season 2011/12.  Clonaslee finished in 5th position.

10.30am – Martin Green/Tom Walsh Cup Semi Final 1 – Dundalk Ravens WBC v Clonaslee WBC

12.00pm – Martin Green/Tom Walsh Cup Semi Final 2  – Galway Titans WBC v Limerick WBC

2.00pm – Paddy Byrne Cup Final – Killester WBC v Fr. Matthews WBC

3.45pm – Martin Green/Tom Walsh Cup Final – Winner of Semi 1 v Winner of Semi 2.

 

There was All- Star awards presented at the final league fixture held in Limerick .


The winner of the All Star awards were as follows :

Dundalk Ravens – Jason Ryan

Killester WBC – Barry Cooke
