Dear IWA Sport Members,

The Annual General Meeting of IWA-Sport will be held on Saturday 27th February 2010, at 2.00pm sharp, in the Oliver Murphy IWA Sports Centre Clontarf, Dublin 3.

2009 was an extremely busy year for IWA Sport and saw our members participate in a wide range of sports. Increased sports development opportunities, hosting a competitive international event, running our home programme of competitive events, continuing the support of high performance and in general overseeing the continued implementation of our strategy was the ongoing focus for 2009.

In 2009 we were once again very well supported by IWA and the Irish Sports Council; I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for their continued support.  

You will see from the attached draft Agenda there is a lot of important information and exciting plans for 2010 to be unveiled and we would appreciate your input into these. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that according to our standing orders, we cannot proceed without a quorum, so your attendance is vital.

Directly following the AGM I would like to invite you to join us for the annual ‘Athletes of the Year and Volunteers of the Year’ Awards which will be presented to recognise outstanding contributions, achievements and performances in 2009.  

The AGM is your forum for open discussion and expression of opinions etc.  We look
forward to seeing you on the 27th of February 2010.
